Marvel Strike Force codes are short alphanumeric strings that Scopely releases to give players free in-game currency, character shards, and gear. You enter them in the game’s web redemption portal, not inside the app, and most codes expire within a week or two. This article covers how codes work, where to find them, how to redeem them, and what to do when a code doesn’t work.
Formula
The calculator above is a generic pace calculator, not part of Marvel Strike Force, but it follows the same math you’d use to estimate how long a game event will take. The formula is:
Pace (min/km) = Finish Time (minutes) ÷ Distance (km)
Speed (km/h) = Distance (km) ÷ (Finish Time (minutes) ÷ 60)
Where finish time is in minutes, distance is in kilometers, pace is minutes per kilometer, and speed is kilometers per hour. If you measure in miles, convert distance to kilometers first (1 mile = 1.60934 km).
Worked Example
Using the default values from the calculator: finish time = 50 minutes, distance = 10 km.
Step 1: Pace = 50 ÷ 10 = 5.00 min/km
Step 2: Speed = 10 ÷ (50 ÷ 60) = 10 ÷ 0.8333 = 12.00 km/h
So the average pace is 5:00 per kilometer, and the average speed is 12.0 km/h. This matches the calculator output exactly.
Background: Why Codes Exist
Marvel Strike Force (MSF) launched in 2018 as a turn-based RPG where you build teams of Marvel heroes and villains. Codes are a marketing tool: they reward players for watching streams, following social media, or celebrating game milestones. Scopely releases them during major updates, character launches, and community events like MSF’s anniversary or holiday specials. Unlike some games that have a permanent code list, MSF codes are almost always time-limited and single-use per account.
How Redemption Works
You cannot redeem codes inside the mobile app. Instead, you go to the official MSF code redemption website (marvelstrikeforce.com/redeem or the link in the game’s settings menu). You log in with your game account (Apple, Google, or Facebook), paste the code, and submit. The rewards appear in your in-game inbox within a few minutes. Some codes are region-locked or account-level locked, so a code that works for a new player may not work for a veteran, and vice versa.
How to Find Active Codes
Scopely does not maintain a single official list. Codes are announced on:
- The official Marvel Strike Force Twitter/X account
- The MSF Discord server
- Live streams on Twitch and YouTube (often during MSF’s weekly “Strike Time or special events)
- In-game news and mail messages
- Community content creators who share codes as they drop
Because codes expire quickly, the best strategy is to check social media daily. Many players also subscribe to community newsletters or use third-party code trackers, but those are not official and may be outdated.
Common Problems and Mistakes
The most frequent issue is entering a code that has already expired. Codes typically last 7–14 days, but some are only valid for 48 hours. Other common problems:
- Typing the code with extra spaces or lowercase letters when it’s case-sensitive
- Using a code from a different region (e.g., a code for the global server on the EU server)
- Entering a code that was already redeemed on your account – each code works only once per account
- Logging into the wrong account on the redemption site (e.g., Facebook vs. Apple)
- Trying to redeem on the app instead of the website
If you get an “invalid message, double-check the code source and date. If the code is valid but not working, try logging out and back in, or clear your browser cache.
What Rewards Do Codes Give?
Most codes grant one or more of the following:
- Power Cores (premium currency)
- Gold (in-game money)
- Character shards (for specific heroes or villains)
- Gear or ability materials
- Orbs (loot boxes)
Rewards vary widely. A typical code might give 100–500 Power Cores, while a special event code could give 50 shards of a new character. There is no guaranteed minimum, and Scopely does not publish odds for orb contents.
Alternatives to Codes
If you miss a code or want more resources, the game offers other ways to earn free items:
- Daily objectives and milestone events
- Arena and Blitz battles
- Raids and Alliance War rewards
- Free orbs from the in-game store (daily)
- Log-in calendar rewards
These are more reliable than codes but slower. Codes are essentially bonus gifts, not a primary source of progression.
Safety and Scams
Only redeem codes from official Scopely channels or trusted community sources. Never give your password to a third-party site, and never enter codes on unofficial “code generator websites – they are scams that may steal your account. Scopely will never ask for your password to redeem a code. If a code appears on a random forum or YouTube comment, treat it with suspicion.
Frequently Asked Questions
How often do new codes come out?
There is no fixed schedule. Codes often appear during major game updates (every 4–6 weeks), character launches, or special events like anniversaries. Some weeks have no codes at all.
Can I use a code more than once?
No. Each code is single-use per account. Once redeemed, it cannot be used again on the same account, even if you reinstall the game.
Do codes expire?
Yes, almost all codes have an expiration date, usually 7–14 days from release. Some limited-time codes expire in 48 hours. After expiration, the code becomes invalid.
Why did my code say “invalid even though I just saw it?
Possible reasons: you typed it incorrectly (check for zero vs. letter O), the code is region-locked, or it was already redeemed on your account. Also, some codes are only for new players or specific player levels.
Can I redeem codes on PC or console?
Marvel Strike Force is available on iOS, Android, and PC (via the Microsoft Store or Steam). Redemption is always through the website, regardless of platform. You can redeem on any device with a browser.
Where is the safest place to find codes?
The official MSF Twitter/X account and the official Discord server are the safest. Community content creators who partner with Scopely also share codes, but always verify the code on the official redemption site.
