Corrections

When a formula, a default value or a worked example is found to be wrong, we fix it and record the change here. If you spot an error, please send the page address and the numbers you used through the contact page.

How corrections work

• We repeat your calculation by hand with the page’s formula and with an independent check.
• If the page is wrong, the formula, the worked example and the calculator are corrected together, and the change is listed below with its date.
• While a calculator is being checked it may be switched off. Its formula and worked example stay on the page.
