Legacy Piece Traits: Buffs & Drop Chances

This article explains every trait in Legacy Piece, what buffs each one gives, and the exact drop chances for obtaining them. You’ll learn how traits are rolled, which are best for different playstyles, and how to re-roll for the one you want.

Formula

The calculator estimates how many Legendary traits you can expect from a given number of rolls, and the probability of getting at least one. The formulas are:

  • Expected Legendary traits = total rolls × legendary chance (as a decimal)
  • Chance of at least one = 1 − (1 − legendary chance)^total rolls, expressed as a percentage

Where:

  • Total rolls = number of times you roll for a trait (e.g., 100)
  • Legendary chance = the probability of a Legendary trait per roll (e.g., 5% = 0.05)

Worked Example

Using the default values (100 rolls, 5% legendary chance):

  1. Expected Legendary traits = 100 × 0.05 = 5
  2. Chance of at least one = 1 − (0.95^100) ≈ 1 − 0.00592 = 0.99408, or 99.41%

So with 100 rolls, you’d expect about 5 Legendary traits, and you have a 99.4% chance of seeing at least one.

What Are Traits in Legacy Piece?

Traits are random passive bonuses that apply to your character in the Roblox game Legacy Piece. They are rolled when you first spawn and can be re-rolled using special items. Each trait provides a unique set of stat boosts, ranging from small increases to powerful multipliers that can drastically change your combat effectiveness.

There are currently 14 traits in the game, divided into four rarity tiers: Common, Uncommon, Rare, and Legendary. The rarer the trait, the stronger the buffs.

All Traits and Their Buffs

Here is the full list of traits, their rarity, and the exact stat bonuses they provide (as of the current game version):

Common Traits

  • Healthy – +5% max health
  • Agile – +5% movement speed
  • Strong – +5% melee damage
  • Smart – +5% ability damage

Uncommon Traits

  • Vitality – +10% max health, +5% health regeneration
  • Swift – +10% movement speed, +5% dash cooldown reduction
  • Brawler – +10% melee damage, +5% critical chance
  • Wizard – +10% ability damage, +5% ability cooldown reduction

Rare Traits

  • Giant – +15% max health, +10% melee damage, but −5% movement speed
  • Shadow – +15% movement speed, +10% dodge chance
  • Berserker – +15% melee damage, +10% critical damage
  • Sorcerer – +15% ability damage, +10% ability cooldown reduction

Legendary Traits

  • Divine – +20% max health, +15% health regeneration, +10% damage reduction
  • Overlord – +20% melee damage, +15% ability damage, +10% critical chance

Note: These values are based on the most recent game update. Always check the official Legacy Piece Trello or Discord for any changes.

Drop Chances for Each Trait

The probability of getting a specific trait depends on its rarity. The drop rates are as follows:

  • Common traits – 50% chance (12.5% each)
  • Uncommon traits – 30% chance (7.5% each)
  • Rare traits – 15% chance (3.75% each)
  • Legendary traits – 5% chance (2.5% each)

These percentages are per roll. So every time you roll, you have a 5% chance to get either Divine or Overlord, and a 2.5% chance for a specific one.

How to Re-Roll Traits

To re-roll your trait, you need a Trait Reroll item. These can be obtained from:

  • Boss drops (rare)
  • Treasure chests
  • Events (limited time)
  • Purchasing with Robux (if available)

Each re-roll gives you a new random trait, with the same drop chances as above. There is no pity system – you could roll 100 times and never get a Legendary, though the probability of that is very low (about 0.6% with 5% chance).

Which Trait Is Best?

The best trait depends on your playstyle and build:

  • For PvP melee builds – Overlord is the top pick due to its +20% melee and +10% crit chance.
  • For ability-based builds – Sorcerer (Rare) is great for cooldown reduction, but Overlord still outdamages it.
  • For tank/survivability – Divine offers the best mix of health, regen, and damage reduction.
  • For speed/farming – Shadow (Rare) gives +15% movement speed and dodge, which helps in grinding.

In most cases, any Legendary trait is better than any Rare, but Divine is often considered the best overall because it makes you extremely hard to kill.

Common Mistakes and Misconceptions

  • Misunderstanding drop chances – A 5% chance does not mean you get a Legendary every 20 rolls. Each roll is independent; you could get two in a row or none in 50.
  • Using re-rolls on a good trait – If you have a Rare trait that suits your build, think twice before re-rolling. The chance of getting a Legendary is only 5%.
  • Ignoring negative effects – Some traits like Giant have drawbacks. Make sure the positive outweighs the negative for your playstyle.
  • Not checking updates – Game developers often tweak trait values. Always verify current stats on the official Trello.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get a Legendary trait from the start?

Yes, when you first spawn, your trait is rolled randomly. You have a 5% chance to get a Legendary trait right away, but most players will need to re-roll.

What is the exact drop chance for Overlord?

Overlord is a Legendary trait, so the chance is 5% for any Legendary, split between two traits. That gives you a 2.5% chance specifically for Overlord per roll.

How many re-rolls do I need to get a Legendary?

Statistically, you need about 20 rolls to have a 64% chance of getting at least one Legendary. To reach a 95% chance, you’d need about 60 rolls. But this is not guaranteed – it’s all about luck.

Are there any guaranteed ways to get a Legendary trait?

No, there is no pity system or guaranteed drop. Your only option is to keep re-rolling until you get one, or wait for special events that might increase drop rates.

Do traits affect all game modes?

Yes, traits apply to your character in all game modes, including PvP, PvE, and boss fights. However, some modes may have restrictions (e.g., tournaments might disable traits).

Can I trade traits with other players?

No, traits are bound to your character and cannot be traded. However, you can trade Trait Reroll items if the game allows item trading.
