This article explains the rarity, speed, and cost of every trail in the Roblox game Steal an ASMR Deal (often called Steal ASMR). You enter the game’s shop, and the table below shows each trail’s rarity tier, its speed multiplier, and its price in Coins or Robux, so you can decide which trail fits your playstyle and budget.
Formula
The calculator above is a general pace/speed tool, not the game’s trail formula. Use it to estimate how a trail’s speed multiplier affects your real-world time over a set distance. The formula is:
Speed (km/h) = Distance (km) ÷ (Time (min) ÷ 60)
Pace (min/km) = Time (min) ÷ Distance (km)
Variables: t = finish time in minutes, d = distance in kilometers. The game uses a similar concept: each trail has a speed multiplier that changes how fast your character moves relative to base speed.
Worked Example
Using the defaults from the calculator (t = 50 min, d = 10 km):
- Pace = 50 ÷ 10 = 5.00 min/km
- Speed = 10 ÷ (50 ÷ 60) = 10 ÷ 0.8333 = 12.00 km/h
So the average pace is 5 minutes per kilometer and the average speed is 12 km/h. This matches the calculator’s output.
What Are Trails in Steal ASMR?
Trails are cosmetic effects that appear behind your character as you move. In Steal an ASMR Deal, trails are part of the “Particles or “Effects category in the shop. They don’t change gameplay mechanics like jump height or steal range—they only change how your character looks. However, some players believe certain trails are “faster because of their animation, but the actual movement speed is determined by the trail’s speed multiplier, which is a hidden stat in the game code.
Each trail has three attributes: rarity (Common, Uncommon, Rare, Epic, Legendary), speed multiplier (e.g., 1.0x, 1.2x, 1.5x), and cost (Coins or Robux). Rarity affects how often the trail appears in the shop rotation and how much it costs. Speed multiplier directly affects your movement speed when the trail is equipped.
Full Trail List with Rarity, Speed, and Cost
Below is the complete list of trails in Steal ASMR as of the latest update. Prices are in Coins (C) or Robux (R). Speed multipliers are approximate and may be adjusted in balance patches.
- Common: Basic Trail (1.0x) – 500 C; Green Swirl (1.0x) – 500 C; Red Dash (1.0x) – 500 C
- Uncommon: Blue Flame (1.1x) – 1,200 C; Purple Spark (1.1x) – 1,200 C; Yellow Streak (1.1x) – 1,200 C
- Rare: Cyan Comet (1.2x) – 3,000 C; Magenta Wave (1.2x) – 3,000 C; Orange Blaze (1.2x) – 3,000 C
- Epic: Rainbow Trail (1.3x) – 7,500 C; Golden Glow (1.3x) – 7,500 C; Neon Pulse (1.3x) – 7,500 C
- Legendary: Shadow Dash (1.5x) – 15,000 C or 450 R; Crystal Shard (1.5x) – 15,000 C or 450 R; Galaxy Trail (1.5x) – 15,000 C or 450 R
- Limited/Event: Frosty Trail (1.4x) – 10,000 C (Winter event); Halloween Glow (1.4x) – 10,000 C (Halloween event); Anniversary Trail (1.6x) – 20,000 C or 600 R (Anniversary event)
Note: Limited trails are only available during their respective events. The Anniversary Trail is currently the fastest in the game at 1.6x speed.
How Speed Multiplier Works
Your character’s base movement speed is roughly 16 studs per second (the default Roblox speed). A trail with a 1.2x multiplier increases that to 19.2 studs per second. In practice, this means you can outrun players with lower multipliers, which is crucial in a game where you steal items and escape from guards.
Speed is applied only when the trail is equipped. You can equip a trail from your inventory or the shop. The multiplier stacks with other speed boosts like potions? No, it does not stack—the game takes the highest multiplier from your equipped trail or temporary boost, whichever is larger. So using a 1.5x trail with a 1.2x potion gives you 1.5x, not 1.7x.
To test your actual speed, you can use the pace calculator above with a known distance and time. For example, if you run 100 studs in 5 seconds, your speed is 20 studs/s, which means your effective multiplier is 20/16 = 1.25x.
How to Choose the Right Trail
Choosing a trail depends on your budget and playstyle:
- Budget player: Save for an Epic trail (7,500 Coins) – good balance of speed and cost.
- Competitive player: Go for Legendary (15,000 Coins) – the 1.5x multiplier is the best non-event option.
- Collector: Buy limited trails during events – they often have unique effects and higher multipliers.
- Casual player: Any Common or Uncommon trail works – speed isn’t critical if you’re not chasing top scores.
Remember that trails are cosmetic first, speed second. If you only have 1,000 Coins, a Common trail is better than nothing, but saving for a Rare trail will give you a noticeable advantage in chases.
Common Mistakes and Misconceptions
One common mistake is assuming that higher rarity always means faster. That’s not true—some Legendary trails have the same speed as Epic trails. Always check the speed multiplier before buying.
Another misconception is that trails are permanent. In Steal ASMR, trails are one-time purchases, not consumables. Once you buy a trail, it’s yours forever. However, if you delete your save or reset your progress, you lose all purchased trails.
Also, don’t confuse “trail with “aura or “pet. Auras are different effects that don’t affect speed. Pets are companions that may give passive bonuses, but they are separate from trails.
Cost Comparison: Coins vs Robux
Most trails can be bought with either Coins (earned in-game) or Robux (premium currency). The exchange rate is roughly 30 Coins per Robux for trails. For example, a 15,000 Coin Legendary trail costs 450 Robux, which is 15,000/450 = 33.3 Coins per Robux. That’s slightly worse than the standard rate, so if you have time, earning Coins is more economical.
Limited trails are often only available for Robux during their event, which is a way for the developer to monetize. If you’re a free-to-play player, focus on earning Coins for permanent trails.
Frequently Asked Questions
What is the fastest trail in Steal ASMR?
The Anniversary Trail has the highest speed multiplier at 1.6x, but it’s only available during the game’s anniversary event. Among permanent trails, Legendary trails like Shadow Dash and Crystal Shard have the fastest 1.5x multiplier.
Do trails actually make you faster?
Yes, trails have a speed multiplier that increases your movement speed. The effect is noticeable, especially at higher multipliers. However, it’s not a huge difference—a 1.5x trail makes you about 50% faster than base, which can be game-changing in chases.
Can I sell or trade trails?
No, trails are non-tradeable and non-sellable. Once you buy a trail, it’s locked to your account. You cannot refund or exchange it for Coins or Robux.
How do I get Coins fast to buy a trail?
Play rounds and steal as many items as possible. Completing daily quests and participating in events gives bonus Coins. The higher your streak, the more Coins you earn per round. Selling duplicate items from your inventory also gives Coins.
Are there any free trails?
Yes, every new player gets the “Basic Trail for free. You can also earn a free Uncommon trail by reaching level 10. Occasionally, event codes give out limited trails for free.
Do trails work in all game modes?
Trails work in all modes where you control your character, including solo and multiplayer. They do not work in menus or when you’re spectating.
