Enshrouded 1.0 All Night Sanctum Locations

This guide lists every Night Sanctum location in Enshrouded’s 1.0 release, including the exact map coordinates and the unique rewards found in each. Night Sanctums are optional, instanced dungeons that scale to your level and drop valuable loot, making them a key part of endgame progression.

What Are Night Sanctums?

Night Sanctums are special dungeons added in Enshrouded’s 1.0 update. They are instanced, meaning each player or group gets their own version, and they are designed to be challenging but fair. Unlike the open-world Shroud Roots or Elixir Wells, Night Sanctums are marked on your map with a distinct icon (a glowing blue portal) and are always found inside caves or underground structures. They are meant to be tackled at any level, but the rewards scale with your character, so they remain relevant throughout the game.

Each Sanctum has a unique layout, a set of puzzles, and a final boss. The loot includes weapons, armor, and crafting materials that are not obtainable anywhere else. They are a great source of late-game gear and are essential for crafting the highest-tier items.

All Night Sanctum Locations (1.0)

Here is the complete list of Night Sanctums in the 1.0 version of Enshrouded. Coordinates are given in the in-game map grid system (X, Y).

  • Ancient Vault of the Hunt – Located in the Revelwood, east of the Revelwood Spire. Coordinates: (350, 420). This Sanctum focuses on ranged combat and traps. Reward: Huntress Armor Set and the Longbow of the Wilds.
  • Vault of the Frozen Depths – In the Kindlewastes, near the northern edge of the desert. Coordinates: (120, 310). This dungeon is themed around ice and requires fire-based abilities to solve puzzles. Reward: Glacial Blade and Frostweave Cloak.
  • Sanctum of the Sunless – Found in the Nomad Highlands, west of the Nomad Highlands Spire. Coordinates: (520, 180). A dark, maze-like dungeon with heavy emphasis on melee combat. Reward: Voidforged Armor and Shadowstep Boots.
  • Crypt of the Eternal Flame – In the Blackmire, near the center of the swamp. Coordinates: (470, 510). This Sanctum is fire-themed and requires water-based spells to extinguish flames blocking your path. Reward: Inferno Scepter and Ashen Shield.

  • Vault of the Silent King – In the Pikemead’s Reach, east of the Pikemead’s Reach Spire. Coordinates: (680, 380). This is the largest Sanctum, with multiple floors and a challenging final boss. Reward: Royal Guard Armor and King’s Greatsword.

How to Access Night Sanctums

To enter a Night Sanctum, you must first find the entrance, which is usually a glowing portal inside a cave or ruin. You also need a Night Sanctum Key, which can be crafted at the Alchemy Station using 10 Shroud Spores and 5 Metal Scraps. Alternatively, you can find keys as rare drops from elite enemies in the area. Once you have a key, interact with the portal to enter. You can leave and re-enter as many times as you want, but the dungeon resets if you leave for more than 10 minutes, and you must use another key to re-enter.

Rewards and Loot

Each Night Sanctum has a unique loot table, but they all share some common rewards:

  • Night Sanctum Cache – A chest at the end that contains a guaranteed epic or legendary item.
  • Sanctum Essence – A crafting material used to upgrade the Flame Altar to level 7 and beyond.
  • Rare crafting recipes – Some Sanctums drop recipes for unique furniture or gear.

The boss of each Sanctum also has a chance to drop a unique cosmetic item, such as a cape or helmet skin.

Tips for Completing Night Sanctums

Night Sanctums are not pushovers. Here are some practical tips:

  • Bring a weapon of the opposite element to the dungeon’s theme (e.g., fire weapon in the ice dungeon).
  • Use the environment to your advantage – many puzzles require you to shoot switches or place bombs.
  • Don’t rush. The mobs are tough and can easily overwhelm you if you aggro too many at once.
  • Carry a few healing potions and some Shroud Survival Flasks, as some areas have heavy shroud.
  • If you’re underleveled, come back later – the rewards scale, so there’s no penalty for waiting.

Common Problems and Misconceptions

One common issue is that players miss the Sanctum entrance because it’s hidden behind a destructible wall or a locked door. Look for glowing runes on the ground – they usually mark the path. Another misconception is that Night Sanctums are only for endgame players. In reality, they are designed to be completed at any level, and the rewards adjust to your level, so you can do them early for a power boost.

Another problem is that some players don’t realize the Sanctum resets after you leave. If you need to go back to base, make sure you’ve cleared the dungeon or you’ll have to use another key. Also, note that the Sanctum’s difficulty is based on the level of the first player to enter, so if you’re playing with friends, make sure everyone is at a similar level.

Can I get the Night Sanctum Key from the Sanctum itself?

No, you must craft it or find it in the world. The key is not dropped inside the Sanctum.

What happens if I die inside a Night Sanctum?
