1000 Free Raider Tokens in Arc Raiders: Holiday Event?
No, there is no official way to claim 1,000 free Raider Tokens in Arc Raiders during the holiday event. As of the current game version, Raider Tokens are a premium currency that can only be obtained by purchasing them with real money or through specific in-game promotions that have not included a 1,000-token giveaway. This article explains what Raider Tokens are, how the holiday event actually works, and how to avoid scams promising free tokens.
What Are Raider Tokens in Arc Raiders?
Raider Tokens are the premium currency in Arc Raiders, the extraction shooter developed by Embark Studios. They are used to buy cosmetic items, battle pass tiers, and certain convenience items in the in-game store. Unlike the free currency (Credits), Raider Tokens cannot be earned through normal gameplay—they are designed as a paid currency to support the game’s live-service model. The exact exchange rate and item prices vary by region and platform, so always check the in-game store for the most current numbers.
How the Holiday Event Actually Works
The holiday event in Arc Raiders typically runs from mid-December to early January. It features limited-time challenges, festive cosmetics, and a special event pass. Players earn event points by completing daily and weekly objectives, which unlock rewards like weapon skins, player banners, and sometimes a small number of Credits. The event does not give out Raider Tokens as a reward—event rewards are usually non-premium items. The only way to get Raider Tokens during the event is to buy them from the store, just like any other time of the year.
Why You See Claims of Free Tokens
Online ads, social media posts, and third-party websites sometimes claim you can get free Raider Tokens by completing surveys, downloading apps, or entering your login details. These are almost always phishing scams. They try to steal your account credentials or install malware on your device. The official Arc Raiders team never asks for your password or offers free premium currency outside of the game itself. If an offer sounds too good to be true, it is a scam.
How to Safely Get Raider Tokens
If you want Raider Tokens, the only safe and legitimate method is to purchase them through the official in-game store on your platform (Steam, Epic Games Store, or console store). Here are the steps:
- Open Arc Raiders and go to the in-game store.
- Select the Raider Tokens tab.
- Choose the amount you want to buy (e.g., 500, 1000, 2000).
- Complete the purchase using your platform’s payment method.
- Tokens appear in your inventory immediately after the transaction.
Never enter your account details on a third-party website, and never share your login information with anyone claiming to be a game moderator or giveaway host.
Common Misconceptions About Free Tokens
Some players believe that completing all holiday event challenges will reward Raider Tokens, or that there is a hidden code that unlocks them. Neither is true. The event pass only gives event-specific items. Another misconception is that you can transfer tokens between accounts or platforms—tokens are tied to the account that purchased them and cannot be traded or gifted. Finally, some think that uninstalling and reinstalling the game resets your token balance—it does not; your balance is stored on the server.
Alternatives to Raider Tokens
If you want to enjoy the holiday event without spending money, you can still earn Credits through gameplay. Credits are the free currency in Arc Raiders, earned by completing matches and challenges. They can be used to buy certain cosmetic items, though the selection is more limited than the premium store. The holiday event itself is free to participate in, and the free rewards are often quite good. You can also wait for future events—sometimes the developers give away small amounts of premium currency as a reward for community milestones, but these are rare and always announced officially.
Frequently Asked Questions
Can I earn Raider Tokens by playing the game?
No, Raider Tokens are a premium currency and cannot be earned through regular gameplay. The only in-game currency you can earn by playing is Credits. Raider Tokens are only available for purchase with real money.
Is there a promo code for free Raider Tokens?
There is no active promo code for free Raider Tokens. Any code you see online is either expired, fake, or a scam. The official Arc Raiders social media channels are the only place where legitimate codes are ever released, and they are rarely for premium currency.
What happens if I enter my password on a free token site?
Your account is at risk. These sites are phishing attempts designed to steal your credentials. If you have entered your password, change it immediately and enable two-factor authentication. Contact the platform’s support team if you suspect unauthorized access.
Can I gift Raider Tokens to a friend?
No, Raider Tokens cannot be traded or gifted. They are locked to the account that purchased them. You can, however, buy gift cards for the platform (like Steam or Epic) so your friend can purchase tokens themselves.
Will the holiday event give Raider Tokens as a final reward?
No, the holiday event rewards are limited to event cosmetics and Credits. The event pass does not include Raider Tokens at any tier. The only way to get Raider Tokens during the event is to buy them from the store.
Are there any official giveaways for Raider Tokens?
Occasionally, the developers may run a giveaway on their official social media channels, but these are rare and always announced on their verified accounts. They never ask for your password or require you to download third-party software. Always check the official Arc Raiders website or Twitter/X for announcements.
