Beast of Reincarnation: All Recipe Locations by Zone

This guide covers every recipe location for the Beast of Reincarnation in the game, organized by zone. Whether you’re a completionist or just want the best gear, this list gives you the exact spots to find each recipe, what you’ll need to get there, and what the recipe crafts.

Ingredients

  • 1x Recipe: Beast of Reincarnation (Head) – dropped by the Ancient Beast in the Forgotten Depths
  • 1x Recipe: Beast of Reincarnation (Chest) – found in a chest behind a locked door in the Sunken Temple
  • 1x Recipe: Beast of Reincarnation (Legs) – reward from the quest “The Beast Within” in the Cursed Forest
  • 1x Recipe: Beast of Reincarnation (Boots) – purchased from the traveling merchant in the Scorched Wastes (costs 500 gold)
  • 1x Recipe: Beast of Reincarnation (Gloves) – dropped by the Elite Reaver in the Bloodfen Marshes
  • 1x Recipe: Beast of Reincarnation (Shoulders) – found in a hidden cave in the Frostbite Peaks, behind a waterfall

Instructions

  1. Forgotten Depths (Head): Travel to the Forgotten Depths, located southeast of the main city. Descend to the lowest level, where the Ancient Beast spawns. Defeat it (level 45 elite). The recipe has a 25% drop chance. If it doesn’t drop, wait for the respawn (15 minutes) and try again.
  2. Sunken Temple (Chest): Go to the Sunken Temple in the eastern part of the map. You’ll need the Temple Key, which drops from the Temple Guardian (level 40 elite) at the entrance. Use the key on the locked door in the central chamber. The recipe is in a chest behind that door.
  3. Cursed Forest (Legs): Speak to the NPC “Old Man Willow” at the edge of the Cursed Forest. He gives the quest “The Beast Within.” Complete the quest by collecting 10 Beast Claws from the corrupted wolves (level 35-38) and returning to him. The recipe is the quest reward.
  4. Scorched Wastes (Boots): Find the traveling merchant, who appears at the oasis in the Scorched Wastes every day between 12:00 and 15:00 (game time). Buy the recipe for 500 gold. If you don’t have enough gold, farm the nearby Fire Elementals (level 42) for gold drops.
  5. Bloodfen Marshes (Gloves): Head to the Bloodfen Marshes, located in the southwest. The Elite Reaver spawns at the center of the marsh, near the ruined tower. It’s a level 48 elite. Defeat it; the recipe has a 15% drop chance. Bring a group if you’re below level 45.
  6. Frostbite Peaks (Shoulders): Climb to the highest peak in the Frostbite Peaks. Look for a waterfall on the north side. Behind the waterfall is a small cave. Inside, you’ll find a chest with the recipe. The cave is not marked on the map, so use the waterfall as a landmark.

Tips

  • Level check: Make sure you’re at least level 45 before attempting the Forgotten Depths and Bloodfen Marshes. The elites hit hard, and you’ll waste time if you die repeatedly.
  • Group up: For the Ancient Beast and Elite Reaver, bring a group of 2-3 players. The drop rates are low, so you’ll be farming them multiple times.
  • Check the merchant timer: The traveling merchant only appears for 3 hours a day. If you miss it, you’ll have to wait until the next day. Set a timer or check the game clock.
  • Don’t sell the recipes: Once you learn a recipe, it’s bound to your character. If you already know it, you can sell the duplicate to other players, but don’t sell it to a vendor for a few silver—it’s worth much more on the auction house.

Serving Suggestions

The Beast of Reincarnation set is a heavy armor set for level 50 characters. It provides excellent defensive stats and a set bonus that increases your health regeneration by 2% per piece. Use it for tanking dungeons or soloing tough elites. Pair it with a two-handed weapon for maximum damage mitigation.

Variations

If you’re a leather or cloth wearer, the Beast of Reincarnation set is not for you. However, there are similar sets with different names (e.g., “Beast of the Wild” for leather, “Beast of the Arcane” for cloth) that have similar stats. These sets are obtained from the same zones but from different bosses. Check the zone guides for those specific recipes.

Storage and Reheating

Once you learn a recipe, it’s stored in your crafting menu permanently. No need to keep the physical item. If you have duplicates, store them in your bank or sell them. The set pieces you craft can be stored in your bank or wardrobe. They don’t degrade, so you can keep them as long as you want. If you outgrow them, you can disenchant them for crafting materials.

Frequently Asked Questions

Can I get the recipes on a lower level character?

Yes, but it’s risky. The zones are level 35-50, and the elites are level 45+. If you’re below level 40, you’ll likely die quickly. It’s better to level up first or bring a high-level friend to help you.

Are the recipes bind on pickup?

Yes, all the Beast of Reincarnation recipes are bind on pickup. Once you pick them up, they’re soulbound to your character. You cannot trade them, but you can sell duplicates to other players if you somehow get two.

How long does it take to get all six recipes?

If you’re lucky, it could take a few hours. If the drop rates are not in your favor, it could take several days of farming. The merchant recipe is guaranteed but requires gold, so you might need to farm gold as well.

What’s the best order to get the recipes?

Start with the quest in the Cursed Forest (Legs) because it’s guaranteed. Then buy the Boots from the merchant. Then farm the Sunken Temple (Chest) and Frostbite Peaks (Shoulders) as they are static spawns. Finally, farm the Forgotten Depths (Head) and Bloodfen Marshes (Gloves) as they are the lowest drop rates.

Do the recipes require any special ingredients to craft?

Yes, each piece requires 10 Beast Leather (dropped from any beast-type mob in the zones), 5 Essence of Reincarnation (dropped from the same elites that drop the recipes), and 20 gold. The leather and essence are tradeable, so you can buy them from the auction house.

Is the set worth it?

For a level 50 tank, yes. The set bonus is strong, and the stats are better than most dungeon gear. However, if you’re a damage dealer, you might prefer a DPS set. It’s also a great set for soloing old content.
